(a) This section supplements the authority of the board of county commissioners to provide lighting under Article 25, § 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
(b) Subject to § 25-102(b)(2) of the Transportation Article, the board of county commissioners may provide lighting along all or any part of the streets, lanes, alleys, and public ways of the county.
(c) The costs of lighting provided under this section may be paid out of the general revenues of the county.
